Property Description
This is a beautiful semi-detached, stone and wood Alpine chalet to renovate, located in a hamlet close to Ste Foy Tarentaise, in a quiet and very peaceful location, in the heart of the mountains.
The chalet has approximately 100 m2 of potential living space and is South and West facing.
A building permit has already been filed for the work, giving you a basis for carrying out your projects.
Once the spaces have been created and fitted out, you could obtain a living area of around 100 m2. Exceptional property with traditional charm and a rustic feel.
New roof and possibility to add 2 chimneys in the chalet.
Lots of potential for this chalet located in a true haven of peace, in an exceptional listed site.
The property sits on a 237 m2 plot of land attached to the property.
Sainte Foy Tarentaise is a traditional and picturesque village about 15 minutes east of Bourg St Maurice. It offers a relaxing alternative to the more hectic environment of its popular neighbours La Plagne and Les Arcs, which are a few kilometres west, or Tignes and Val d'Isère which are further south. It has traditionally provided excellent skiing for the more experienced skier, including some fabulous off-piste areas, but it has now also developed more facilities for the less experienced -- including a marvellous nursery slope for beginners. Other than winter sports, the village has some historic buildings to visit and the surrounding area offers everything from golf to rock climbing, not forgetting of course the breathtaking scenery.
The international airports are at Lyon and Geneva -- roughly 2¼ hours away, or 1½ hour's away at Grenoble. Chambéry is an option during the alpine season and is just over an hour away. The TGV is available from Bourg St Maurice and the village is close to the main autoroute D902.
