Property Description
This is a beautiful stone and wood detached Alpine chalet built in the 1600's, located in a hamlet close to Ste Foy Tarentaise, in a quiet and very peaceful location, in the heart of the mountains.
The chalet is on 2 levels with approximately 60m2 of potential living space.
It is North East and West facing.
Entrance leading into the living area and a second room that opens onto the outside garden area.
The attic space could also be converted to make additional living space.
There is also a small outbuilding and a cellar.
The property sits on a 170m2 garden area.
Great potential and authentic charm for this chalet located in a true haven of peace, in an exceptional setting.
Sainte Foy Tarentaise is a traditional and picturesque village about 15 minutes east of Bourg St Maurice. It offers a relaxing alternative to the more hectic environment of its popular neighbours La Plagne and Les Arcs, which are a few kilometres west, or Tignes and Val d'Isère which are further south. It has traditionally provided excellent skiing for the more experienced skier, including some fabulous off-piste areas, but it has now also developed more facilities for the less experienced -- including a marvellous nursery slope for beginners. Other than winter sports, the village has some historic buildings to visit and the surrounding area offers everything from golf to rock climbing, not forgetting of course the breathtaking scenery.
The international airports are at Lyon and Geneva -- roughly 2¼ hours away, or 1½ hour's away at Grenoble. Chambéry is an option during the alpine season and is just over an hour away. The TGV is available from Bourg St Maurice and the village is close to the main autoroute D902.
